The Gophers have 19 seniors on the roster, but 24 players are listed as the 2015 senior class to be honored before Saturday's game vs. Wisconsin at TCF Bank Stadium.
The notable player missing from the list is senior tight end Lincoln Plsek, with the notable additions being senior center Brian Bobek, junior tackle Ben Lauer and junior guard Isaac Hayes.
Plsek, who has not played this season, could take a redshirt. The fourth-year player has dealt with a back injury since preseason camp.
Gophers coach Tracy Claeys said last week he was unsure of Plsek's status, adding that Plsek wasn't practicing. Plsek has dealt with a back injury since preseason camp.
Bobek is also on the list despite the belief he was seeking a medical redshirt for missing 2013 with a heart ailment. He will miss his seventh game this season with an undisclosed injury Saturday.
Without safety Damarius Travis, who is seeking a medical redshirt, and Plsek, the senior class down to 17, but there are seven redshirt juniors on the list to bring it to 24.
Both Lauer and Hayes will earn mechanical engineering degrees and will pursue them instead of coming back for their senior season. Lauer has been a starter, but will miss his seventh game Saturday due to knee and hand injuries. Hayes has been a backup.
The rest of the redshirt juniors, who are walk-ons, include: linebacker Cedric Dickie, wide receivers EJ Sardinha and Louis Tuszynski and defensive back John McKelvey and running back Jacob Kirsch.
The other seniors are: wide receiver KJ Maye, defensive ends Alex Keith and Theiren Cockran, safety Antonio Johnson, linebackers Peter Westerhaus and De'Vondre Campbell, cornerbacks Briean Boddy-Calhoun and Eric Murray, running back Rodrick Williams, punter Peter Mortell, fullback Miles Thomas, guards Jon Christenson and Joe Bjorklund, offensive tackles Josh Campion and Foster Bush and defensive tackle Robert Ndondo-Lay.
